Holidays Around the World: Promenade Refreshments

I love Epcot's World Showcase. I love it. I literally can not express how much I love it.

Going to the World Showcase around the Holidays makes me love it even more... If that was even possible.

First stop on the Holiday Passport is the Promenade Refreshments and Port of Entry.

The shop behind the tree is Port of Entry.
I like the Port of Entry shop because it always has cute souvenirs. As soon as you walk in, the store front is filled with lots of great Christmas things you can buy. This is the same place we purchased some special Food and Wine souvenirs to give to my parents and my sister and brother-in-law for Christmas. Surprisingly, there was still some bottles of their special Festival wine left! That is what we'd gotten for my parents, and I was worried they would see it and buy it! But thank goodness, they didn't.

We contemplated several different times eating some tasty treats at the Promenade Refreshments stand. They had a warm turkey sandwich with cranberry bread, roast turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy. If I ate turkey, I'd definitely be hitting this up. Ean LOVES turkey, but isn't a fan of cranberry bread, so he went back and forth on trying this or not. We ended up not.

They also had a peppermint sundae (chocolate ice cream, whipped cream, and peppermint candy) that you know I would have loved, chocolate grasshopper (crafted with peppermint schnapps and candy cane crumble), hot chocolate, Godiva hot chocolate (this one had Godiva coffee liquor), and Red Hook Winterhook Ale.

The cute stamp in our book was a little snowflake!

Now, I'm super excited to dive into each country, so stay tuned!!

Epcot Holidays Around the World

One of the things I love about Disney World during the holidays is experiencing Epcot's Holidays Around the World. It is always so much fun to read about different countries' traditions, try some different holiday food, and see little shows from each country.

This year we got a Holiday Passport, much like the Passport for the Food and Wine Festival. You can go around to different locations in each country and get a cute ornament stamp in your book! I made Ean spend an entire day in Epcot with me as we went around getting all the stamps and seeing as many shows as we could.

PHOTO from DisneyFoodBlog!

The Passport listed out all the different locations you could visit that either had holiday treats or special holiday shopping. It also talked about the cool shows each country presented. We went and got a stamp at every location, even if we didn't shop or try any food.

Stay tuned as we journey around the world and learn all about the different cultural traditions!
