Home Sweet Home!

Disney Day 13: July 20, 2013

Well, today was the final day of the vacation.

For breakfast this morning we went to Animator's Palate for one last time. We didn't have to be down there till about 8 since we were on the 2nd dinner rotation. I had a variety of pancakes and Ean got the breakfast platter complete with a potato cake, eggs, sausage, all the good stuff.

The trip home was longer by about an hour since we were coming home from Port Canaveral. Ean was exhausted so only drove about 45 minutes of it. By the time we got to Atlanta, I was about to die! And we still had 3 hours to go! But he was zonked out for the majority of the ride home. That's okay, though. I liked driving and reflecting on this wonderful vacation to myself.

Allie made them watch Grease on the way home.

We had such a great time. I don't know how many times I can say that this was the best vacation ever. It truly was. I am so blessed to have the parents I do. I'm so blessed to have Ean. I'm so blessed to have my sisters and Eric. I'm so happy right now and I wish this vacation could have lasted forever. I'd love to just start it over again and relive everything.

We were so happy to get home and see the dogs. They were very happy as well. I do wish it could have lasted longer, but it is good to finally get back home and get back into the swing of things.

I have a wedding to plan now!

Castaways!

Disney Day 12: July 19, 2013

Today was the last day of the cruise. :(
It was fun, though!

This morning we woke up NOT in Castaway Cay like we should have been, but pulling into Nassau! Our ship had to make an emergency detour for a medical emergency. It was kinda cool and interesting. We saw them rolling the lady out of the ship on a stretcher. It looked like a housekeeping lady. She apparently broke her leg or something and the ship doesn't have the medical equipment to mend her. The Disney Dream pulled into port right before we left which was super cool because that was like the second time in history that two Disney ships have been at the same port at the same time. All the workers were super excited and were shouting at their friends on the other ship. It was a pretty cool experience.

While we were leaving Nassau, we went to Cabanas for breakfast. We had to kill a lot of time because we were getting to Castaway Cay MUCH later than expected. We were supposed to be docked by like 8 this morning, and we were all going to run the Castaway 5K.

Us kids ended up going to the top floor to play some Goofy Golf. Apparently about half the ship had the same idea. After hanging out for awhile, we had lunch at Cabanas and some snacks at all the little food stands. We also attended a character dance party in the lobby.

FINALLY we made it to Castaway Cay around 1pm. They gave us a few extra hours on the island. It got real cloudy and eventually started raining on us, but that way okay cause the sun was so bright before. We rented a cabana so we had our own little private beach area. The cabanas are great!! We had some beer, wine, and champagne, plus lots of soft drinks and snacks. We also could rent anything we wanted for free.

When we got back on the ship, Ean and I got pictures with some characters. Mommy and Daddy joined us after awhile. Since it was rainy, all the characters were on the ship rather than outside. They were also all out this morning around the ship because they were supposed to be out on Castaway Cay at those times.

The show tonight was a farewell show called An Unforgettable Journey. It was a very cute show celebrating our whole cruise journey.

Ean and I enjoyed the last sunset of the cruise before dinner tonight.

After the show we went to dinner. Our last dining room was Animator's Palate. The menu was Sea Ya' Real Soon. I was very excited to be in the Animator's Palate because this ship does a cool thing in that room on the final evening. We all had to draw a picture and sign it, and at the end of dinner, everyone's drawings danced across the room. It was the coolest!

The menu was different. We had two choices for a starter and then we could choose an entree. I didn't really want either starter, so Ameet brought me the "kids" starter which was a selection of fruits and veggies. I chose the Wild Mushroom and Onion Strudel for my entree. Ean and I both had Baked Alaska for dessert.

Ean got the Animator's Workshop Sampler for a starter and the Seafood Linguini Pasta for an entree.

Ean with Fitz. We had a joke the entire week with him. On formal night of the cruise, Fitz caught Ean taking a sip of Mommy's wine. Underaged people caught drinking are supposed to be kept on lock-down in their room for the remainder of the trip, so Ean freaked out. Fitz just laughed it off and made a joke out of it the rest of the cruise!

The food this week has been outstanding. I wish that I could eat it EVERY night. That's probably what I'm going to miss the most.

This cruise has been absolutely phenomenal. I wish that I could live on it... almost. I HATE being out in the middle of the ocean, but I LOVE all the activities and the food and visiting the islands. It's a great vacation, that's for sure.

Both rooms got lobsters!

We made a card and towel animals for Ronald because he was so great!

Towels and Mice!

Disney Day 11: July 18, 2013

Today was our last day at sea, and we sure lived it up!

In the morning we got breakfast at Cabanas. After breakfast, Ean, Allie, and I went to see the Knight Magic Workshop with the magic show people from last night's show. We learned a few magic tricks and they put on another great show. There were like a billion kids there, and we had to stand in the back, but it was still fun.

After the show, Ean, Mommy, Daddy, and I went to a towel folding class in the Tube. That was SO fun. Ean REALLY got into that! I'd definitely do that one again when we go on our next cruise. It was actually really relaxing.

After we did the towel folding, we had some lunch and rested a bit. Daddy and Ean went and played the final Jackpot Bingo. They didn't win, but they did get close! Bummer.

Tonight's show was called Disney's Believe. I saw this one on the Dream a few years ago. It's a really cute show about a dad who travels through a bunch of Disney scenes to show him that anything is possible if you just believe. Again, another cutsy Disney production. Adorable, though.

Tonight was semi-formal night. Our dining room was the Royal Court and the menu was the Captain's Gala menu.

Ean and I got everything exactly the same. We both had Garlic and Herb Sauteed Shrimp for a starter, Wild Forest Mushroom Soup for our soup/salad course, and Oven Baked Lobster Tail for our entree. For dessert we both had the Warm Chocolate Lava Cake. So. Good.

Everyone was dressed all nice and we had a bunch of photos taken on the backdrops they had set up. Me and the girls all had red polka-dot "Minnie" dresses on.

Guy in the middle is the cruise director Clayton.

We only have one more day left of the cruise. :(
Tomorrow is Castaway Cay and I can not wait! I LOVE Castaway Cay!

Girls got a little baby elephant!

The boys got a cute dinosaur!

Ean is so obsessed with towel folding!
