Hollywood, Here We Come!

Disney Day 2: July 9, 2013

It's a good thing we all had a good night's rest the night before! We got up super early this morning to be at the park before it opened. We went to Hollywood Studios today, and we were literally some of the very first ones in line.

There weren't any extra magic hours going on today, so we just had to be there before the park opened at like 9. We were there before 8! They ended up opening 30 minutes early because a lot of people were lined up by 8:30.

We made a mad dash to Toy Story Mania (my favorite) to get there before the crowds. We got in quick! I played with Ean and beat him. Lacie won over all, and got the high score of the day (at the time we were there).

After that we went straight to Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller Coaster. The line to Tower of Terror was so quick. We got fastpasses so we could ride again later. Rockin' Roller Coaster took awhile. The line was insane, though still much quicker than usual. We went back to Tower of Terror and used our fastpasses. We then headed over to Star Tours (a favorite of Ean's) before making our way to Mama Melrose's for the Fantasmic Dinner Package lunch.

After lunch we enjoyed the Studios Backlot Tour, Indiana Jones stunt show, and the Lights, Motors, Action car stunt show. Ean and I broke away from the pack to sit for a bit while everyone else was getting coffee. When the family reunited again, we did the Great Movie Ride.

After a LONG day in the heat, we decided to go back to the villa to rest a bit. It was either that or hang out at the Boardwalk (just a short ten minute walk away), but the need to rest swung the vote. Everyone crashed for about an hour back at the hotel. The heat is so draining!

Chilling in the hotel for a bit.

We went back in the evening for dinner. Some of the group had Rosie's All-American Cafe and others had another place that I can't remember the name of that sold hot dogs and stuff. I had a veggie burger which was really good, but we had to eat FAST cause we were running late for the Fantasmic. We had to be there at a certain time to guarantee our Dinner Package spots. We ended up making it in time, and had excellent seats! However, it was a very stressful dinner beforehand.

The Fantasmic show was absolutely wonderful. I've seen it before, but it is still very cute and fun. Ean really enjoyed it. He's like a little kid again! It's so cute. Lacie is the same way. They both teared up during the show.

Hollywood Studios was fantastic today. The weather was great, the crowds were great. So far so good!

Disney Bound!

*IF I CAN KEEP TO THIS, I plan on giving a brief rundown of our fantastic and memorable Disney vacation. I won't be posting them all at once, or else I'd die. This was a looooog vacation, but it was also the best one ever.*

Disney Day 1: July 8, 2013

We woke up at 5 AM with the hopes of leaving at 6. I think we did pretty good, because I was betting it would be at least 7 (knowing my family), and it ended up being about 6:30 when we rolled out of the driveway.

The trip was long. It always is going TO vacation with all the anticipation and excitement.

Ean and I switched off driving my car the whole time. We had to take two cars since there were 7 of us and luggage enough for two weeks!

We made sandwiches and got chips for lunch on the way down. Great idea. I believe that saved us some time. Though we had to make about 500 bathroom stops for Lacie. That's how it always is! We still made pretty good time.

It was about 5:30-6 when we made it to Saratoga Springs (we also had to stop at Walgreens to get my medicine...). We stayed in one of the Treehouse Villas (I took video of the place, but no pictures! If someone else took pictures, I'll upload them later). It was so cool. It was in the woods, and the house looked like it was a huge treehouse. I thought it was very pretty. We only had two bathrooms to share, which was a bit difficult, but no one complained!

We took a boat ride to Downtown Disney after we got settled in.

Family waiting FOREVER for a boat to come!

When we finally got to Downtown Disney, we ate at Earl of Sandwich. You can read my review here! (I'm Hermione Rose, by the way).

My caprese sandwich and cole slaw. Mmmm!!!!

We also went around to a few shops. We had to get some annual passes upgraded, and the boys paper passes put on a plastic card. That took A LOT of time, but we were still able to shop around World of Disney and a cigar shop. Everyone else went back earlier, but me, Ean, and Allie had a good time hanging around downtown.

No one stayed up too long since it had been a long day and we were super excited to get up early the next day for an entire day at the park! It ended up being an absolutely fantastic start of the week!
