Out of This World!

Disney Day 5: July 12, 2013

Today was Epcot day! Just like all the other days, we got up early and made it there before the park opening. I'm really enjoying getting to the parks early. That's something we've never done before but always wanted to do. It's kinda hard, but it makes the days much longer and we're able to do so much more.

First off we went and got FastPasses for Soarin' and then did Mission Space, which we've never done before. Me, Lacie, and Eric did the green zone, which was less intense. Allie and Ean did the orange intense zone, but they were unable to ride it because they had to close the ride down for cleaning; most likely cause someone puked. They got FastPasses to go back on the ride at any time during the day, but they never got around to doing that.

After that we went right over to Test Track, and it took us FOREVER to get through the line. However, it's always worth it because the ride is fantastic.

The girl car! Me, Lacie, Allie, and Mommy were in a car. The boys were in another.

We walked around the World Showcase to get over to The Land pavilion. We didn't spend much time in any of the countries, mainly just quickly strolled through, because we were on a mission to get to Soarin'. We did Soarin' and then had lunch at Sunshine Seasons. That was perfect because there was a huge variety of foods, and they had vegetarian options. I got orange glazed vegan chick'n, and it was SO good. I was very impressed. It tasted better than actual chicken, in my opinion.

Greetings from around the world!

When we finished lunch, since we were in The Land, we decided to do the Living with the Land ride. I love that ride cause I love seeing the plants and things. It's the same every time, but I love every bit of it!

Everyone was starting to get hot and cranky, as it is with everyday, so we did Spaceship Earth and went back to the room. I personally really like Epcot and didn't want to leave, however, it isn't the park of choice for most of our group.

That evening we went to the Hoop-dee-doo Revue dinner show. We had an early showing of it, so there weren't that many people there. It was super fun and super cute. They bring out all-you-can-eat family style country foods, and obviously I couldn't eat any of it, so the chef came out to our table and asked what kind of personalized dish he could make for me. I got salmon with a variety of roasted vegetables. It was absolutely delicious.

My fantastic dinner!

It was a great and fun show!

They made me and Ean get up and dance cause we had just gotten engaged.

After the dinner show, we went to the Magic Kingdom. Ean and I split up from everyone else. They were doing Splash Mountain and I didn't want to. I volunteered to just stay with Mommy, who didn't want to do it either, but Ean insisted on staying with me. So we road the Railway all the way to Frontierland and rode Big Thunder Mountain. We waited around for everybody, found Mommy and Daddy, talked to them for awhile, and then decided to just leave again because we wanted to find a good place to sit and watch the Electric Light Parade. We got a good spot over close to the Haunted Mansion so we sat there for awhile and waited until it started. (Everyone else did get to see it, but our seats were much better. I'm glad we broke away.)

Since everyone was nowhere to be found, Ean and I rode Buzz Lightyear Ranger Spin (apparently so did everyone else later on, haha) and looked around some shops on Main Street. We decided to just catch a bus back to the room cause we were super exhausted, and we got our showers done first and began packing.

Great faces!

Goodbye Magic Kingdom!

We're all super excited cause the cruise starts tomorrow!

Engagements!

Disney Day 4: July 11, 2013

Today was literally the best day of my life. I absolutely can not believe it's happened.

Today Ean proposed to me. (I'm still in utter shock as I write this 3 months later and ironically 365 days until we get married!)

We'll get to all that excitement very soon!

The day started out in Magic Kingdom- a magical park for a magical day! We rode the monorail over because we had to park at the transportation center which is a great distance away. We could have walked there, but that would have taken forever, ridden in the boats, which also took forever, or taken the monorail. In the monorail, we had a cart to ourselves so we sand obnoxiously loud. Everybody was especially chipper this morning, except for Lacie. We got to the park bright and early for the extra magic hours. We got to see the park opening ceremony, which we've never gotten to see before. They choose a family to 'open the park' with all the characters. It's really cute and probably super fun for the family chosen!

Lacie and Daddy went back to the hotel because Lacie's stomach was hurting, go figure. What else is new! It has been this whole trip. She's pretty sure it's cause of her new birth control. What a bummer for her.

Me, Ean, Allie, Mommy, and Eric immediately went to Space Mountain. That didn't take us long to get through. We went over to the New Fantasyland in the hopes of doing the new Little Mermaid ride. However, it was having technical difficulties when we got there. So we went over and did Enchanted Tales with Belle. That was SO cute and fun. It took awhile for us to get in but it was so worth it. Ean and Eric got to be part of the story. It was awesome. They were the soldiers. Gosh it was so cute!

After we did that, we went to do the Mad Tea Party teacups. Me and Mommy had one to ourselves, and the other three rode together. They were going SO fast. It was so funny. Mommy and I didn't spin ours at all. I hate spinning in them and so does she! We also got to get on Peter Pan's flight (with the fastpasses we got before doing the Enchanted Tales). That's my favorite ride, mainly because Peter Pan is my favorite! Before we left for breakfast, we rode Winnie the Pooh.

We had breakfast reservations at Chef Mickey's at 11, so we headed over there at about 10:45. This is when things started getting crazy!

We met back up with Daddy and Lacie at the Contemporary Hotel (where the restaurant is located). Everyone was seriously so, I don't know how to describe it; I guess kinda tense and anxious. Half the group looked like they were going to throw up! Everyone said it was cause they were so hungry and the teacup ride killed them, or that's its been a long morning with not enough coffee, or that their stupid birth control was being weird (ha, Lacie!). I was like okayyyy...

When our table was ready, all of a sudden Ean made a mad dash the opposite direction. I was like ... wait, what! Eric was all "Don't worry about it, he told me he was going to the bathroom." Allie was all "You don't need to follow, let's just go sit down." Daddy was all "Just calm down, I'll go check on him." Mommy was all "Don't be so mean to Ean!!" And I'm just like .... what is happening here, Ean and Daddy are going to miss all the characters! We won't have it on video! This is all Ean's been looking forward to this whole trip!

LITTLE DID I KNOW.

They came back and a few characters pass by. They're literally all in our section at the same time, so we don't go get food yet. When Minnie came by, that's when it got weird. Ean stands up and instructs Allie to get the video camera (she didn't; she started freaking out. Daddy got the camera, which, you know, he has had the whole time. I thought it was weird Ean was telling Allie to grab it...). Everyone stands up and is looking at me. Ean is fumbling around his pockets. They all have their cameras on me, and I'm just standing there giving Minnie a hug.

When I look around I got this look of complete and utter confusion on my face, and then I had an idea of what was happening, and I would have passed out had I not been holding on to Minnie.

Ean looks over at me and drops to one knee; simple, beautiful, and old-fashioned, just how it should be. He looks at me and says "In the place where dreams come true, will you make my dreams come true? Will you marry me?"

I literally could not speak. I lost all ability to breath, think, and function. He pulled out the absolute most gorgeous ring in the world. I started crying. All I could do was nod my head yes because OF COURSE I WANT TO MARRY YOU!!!!!

Everyone in the restaurant started cheering. It was so magical (seriously though, it was.) Everybody was SO nice. All the workers came up and congratulated us. It was so great.

I later found out that Ean and Daddy were off talking to the managers of the restaurant and people in charge of the characters to see if there was any way the characters could be part of the proposal. The guy said that they've had incidents in the past where the characters have run off with the ring so they can't really do anything but happen to be in the right place at the right time.

I thought it was just absolutely perfect.

Our celebration cupcake. They had a little celebration in the whole restaurant for us!!

Needless to say, we didn't eat much after that. Way too much excitement. We were calling family and posting things on social media. It was just... such a wonderful moment; so incredible.

The rest of the day is quite literally almost a blur to me. I was just so happy and ecstatic the whole day, I didn't care what I was doing!

We went back to Magic Kingdom after we had breakfast. Ean and I got "Just Engaged" buttons, which made us quite popular the rest of the time. People left and right were congratulating us. We got some great PhotoPass photos.

During the day we rode Carousel of Progress (we sang "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" all day... that's what we sang on the monorail this morning, haha), Pirates of the Caribbean again, and Haunted Mansion. Everyone was drained from the sun and excitement after that, so we went back to the villa for a rest.

While there Ean and I made more phone calls. There's just so many people to tell!

We took the boats to Downtown Disney after our afternoon rest so we could catch a bus to the Magic Kingdom. Lacie wasn't feeling well again, so she and Eric went back to the room.

Back at the park, Mommy, Daddy, Allie, Ean and I ate dinner at Pinocchio Village Haus, where our nice cashier got Ean and I a free dessert. We did Mickey's Philharmagic, looked around some shops, and had a LeFou's Brew at Gaston's Tavern. We decided against staying longer because we wanted to get plenty of rest before our last day at the parks. We also wanted to beat the firework crowds and get back to our car (which we left at the transportation center all day).

So happy!!!!

Today was such an amazing day. It was literally the best day of my life so far. I'm so happy and so excited I can't stand it!

Animals, Magic, and Around the World!

Disney Day 3: July 10, 2013

We got up suuuuper early again this morning so we could get to the Animal Kingdom park before it opened. We succeeded, again.

The crowds are eagerly awaiting opening time so we can all rush to our favorite rides.

We headed straight for Expedition Everest, got on super quick, road it, got Fastpasses for later, then headed towards Dino land. We road Dinosaur twice before it started to get busy. We then headed to Primeval Whirl. Me, Mommy, Lacie, and Allie rode together while Daddy, Ean, and Eric shared a cart.

The family, minus Allie, and Awkward Dino on Dinosaur. Hahaha

We stopped at Royal Anandapur Tea Company to get some coffee before heading to Kilimanjaro Safari. I love that attraction so much because I love seeing all the animals. We got a real good look at the lions, which are always hit and miss. It took us awhile to get through the line and then the ride, and we were nervous that we would miss our Fastpass time for Expedition Everest. We ended up not even getting to ride Expedition Everest because it was broken down for a few hours and we left before it was back up.

We were so excited to see lions!

Whatever these little guys are, they sure are cute.

After riding the safari (and continuously checking Expedition Everest), we started getting a bit hungry. We split up for lunch. Mommy, Daddy, Lacie, and Eric went to Flame Tree BBQ, and Me, Ean, and Allie went to Restaurantosaurus because that's the only place with vegetarian food. After we ate, we headed to the Maharajah Jungle Trek where we got to see tigers. I'm scared of orange tigers, yet I couldn't stop looking at them!

After lunch, Ean, Allie, and I hung out at the Dinosaur park area.

Everyone was reaching that point where they're hot and grumpy and tired... We just wanted to go rest, but that was near impossible! There is just too much to do in Disney World, and not enough time for breaks.

We compromised by going to see the It's Tough to be a Bug show and cooling off a bit, then going back to the Treehouse for a few hours of cooling off. Seriously, these breaks are MUCH needed after being in the heat for several hours!

When we were all rested and rejuvenated, we went to the Magic Kingdom. Ean, Lacie, Eric, and I were planning on riding the bus to the Magic Kingdom so the boys could experience the Disney World busses. However, things got crazy and confusing and mixed up, so we got off at Epcot and rode the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. When we got there, Mommy, Daddy, and Allie were at the new Starbucks on Main Street, so we got ourselves something tasty, too! We got to the park kinda late, and Ean and I were wanting to go to Epcot to see the Illuminations show. We rode Pirates of the Carribbean with everyone, then took the monorail over to Epcot.

Me and Ean at the Saratoga Springs bus stop, waiting for our bus to the Magic Kingdom.

Beautiful shot of Cinderella's Castle.

We got to Epcot, rode Spaceship Earth, and then immediately headed over to the UK Pavilion where we got us some DELICIOUS fish and chips from Yorkshire Fish and Chips. We spent some time looking around the English shops (my favorite!!) before walking around finding a seat for the show. We settled on a place in Germany (after looking around the German shops for a few minutes). We shared a chocolate caramel cookie from Karamel Küche which was absolutely delicious, and watched Illuminations. It was so great to just relax away from everybody!

Waiting for Illumiinations!

Today was super amazing, packed with LOTS of attractions and some AMAZING food.
