St. Thomas and Sea Turtles!

Disney Day 10: July 17, 2013

Today was an absolutely beautiful day on the island of St. Thomas. We did a Coral World and Butterfly Garden excursion. We ordered room service last night for breakfast and had it delivered while we were getting ready.

Hello small house!

We watched the boat dock.

A bunch of sailboats as we came near the island.

We took a bus from the ship up to Coral World. I absolutely loved Coral World. We got to see so many sea creatures (and LOTS of sea turtles- my favorite!!!) There were also a lot of iguanas, haha! It was so cool. I really enjoyed it.

My beautiful loves!

We could see under the water in this little underwater hut.

Ean's chip-crunching echoed through the whole room. That's why everyone is on the complete other side!

Some of the little birdies we could feed.

After a few hours, our bus came back to take us to Butterfly Garden, which was right next to the ship. I thought that was a lot of fun as well. There were TONS of beautiful butterflies all flying around their beautiful garden. We got to hold some, and we learned about them, too.

After spending about an hour there, we went back to the ship for lunch. The ship was fairly empty since most everyone was off visiting the island. After lunch at Cabanas, we all got our swim suits on and rode the Aqua Duck! I felt better about doing it since we were parked and not in the middle of the ocean. It also was significantly less crowded and we were able to ride it several times in a row without having to wait for long.

That evening they had a magic show in the Walt Disney Theater. It was The Magic and Illusion of Kyle Knight and Mistie. It was SO good. They were absolutely amazing. We had a really great time at that show.

For dinner, we were in the Enchanted Garden dining room. The menu was the same for all the rooms- Prince and Princess.

I only had a starter, an entree, and a dessert. I got the Roasted Roma Tomatoes and Herb Flavored Goat Cheese, Roasted Portobello Mushroom Triangoli Pasta, and the Sweet Temptations dessert, which featured samplings of Cinderella's Lemon-Infused Cheesecake, Chilled Chocolate Souffle, and Tiramisu.

Ean had Belle's Blue Cheese Polenta Cake for a starter, Radicchio and Endive Caesar Salad for his soup/salad course, and the same entree and dessert as me.

Everything has been SO good so far. Even though some of this stuff is super fancy and we can't even pronounce half of the food, it has all be excellent.

After dinner, Ean and I finished watching Pirate's while Lacie and Eric watched a movie in the other room, and Allie went to the Vibe (teen club) to do a ghost adventure with that group.

Tomorrow will be another relaxing day at sea. Can't wait!
