In the summer, we stayed in the royal rooms. The royal rooms have the same New Orleans feel as the rest of the resort, but they have pictures of Disney princesses and princes scattered throughout the room. They also feature a really neat light-up headboard attached to each bed.
View of the beds with the cute Mickey shaped towels
The grouping of princess photos on the wall next to the beds. You can't really see Cinderella, oops!
A "moving" picture of Tiana (that's why it looks kinda weird)
Allie modeling in the bathroom area
Another angle of the beds and the door.
The corner of the room with the window and table.
Princes Eugene, Naveen, Phillip, and 'The Prince'
Princes Adam, Aladdin, Eric, and Charming
Everything about the royal rooms was amazing. We've only ever stayed in the deluxe resorts when visiting Disney, so a moderate resort was something different. Honestly, to me, you can't even tell a difference. Especially with the royal rooms.
Since the royal rooms are a bit pricy, Ean and I opted to stay in a regular king sized room for our honeymoon in December. It was still pricy (what isn't in Disney...) but it was totally worth it. We loved the New Orleans feel and the subtle Disney touches. You could tell it is a Disney resort, but it doesn't look like a Disney movie exploded all over it. It was so cozy feeling.
I only took photos on my phone this time, so the quality is bad.
This pulled out into a little full-sized bed.
Cute wooden table by the window.
The bathroom was real cute with a fish shower curtain!
Loved this cute little pillow with Louis on it.
Mickey Mouse towels, always
We always get a shot with our cute suitcases.
One of my favorite parts of this hotel was the Riverside Mill Food Court. The pricing there was decent and they had a very big selection of very good food. We probably ate there at least once a day when we went in December, as well as several times in the summer.
If we can afford it, I'd love to stay here again. Like I said, I've stayed in many of the deluxe resorts, and I like this one just as much! It's in a really good location, busses to all the parks ran frequently, we never had to wait long for a bus back to the resort from the parks, the decor of both this hotel and the French Quarter are absolutely beautiful, and the price wasn't too bad at all.
