Animals, Magic, and Around the World!

Disney Day 3: July 10, 2013

We got up suuuuper early again this morning so we could get to the Animal Kingdom park before it opened. We succeeded, again.

The crowds are eagerly awaiting opening time so we can all rush to our favorite rides.

We headed straight for Expedition Everest, got on super quick, road it, got Fastpasses for later, then headed towards Dino land. We road Dinosaur twice before it started to get busy. We then headed to Primeval Whirl. Me, Mommy, Lacie, and Allie rode together while Daddy, Ean, and Eric shared a cart.

The family, minus Allie, and Awkward Dino on Dinosaur. Hahaha

We stopped at Royal Anandapur Tea Company to get some coffee before heading to Kilimanjaro Safari. I love that attraction so much because I love seeing all the animals. We got a real good look at the lions, which are always hit and miss. It took us awhile to get through the line and then the ride, and we were nervous that we would miss our Fastpass time for Expedition Everest. We ended up not even getting to ride Expedition Everest because it was broken down for a few hours and we left before it was back up.

A cute giraffe wonders through the safari grounds.

We were so excited to see lions!

Whatever these little guys are, they sure are cute.

After riding the safari (and continuously checking Expedition Everest), we started getting a bit hungry. We split up for lunch. Mommy, Daddy, Lacie, and Eric went to Flame Tree BBQ, and Me, Ean, and Allie went to Restaurantosaurus because that's the only place with vegetarian food. After we ate, we headed to the Maharajah Jungle Trek where we got to see tigers. I'm scared of orange tigers, yet I couldn't stop looking at them!

After lunch, Ean, Allie, and I hung out at the Dinosaur park area.

Everyone was reaching that point where they're hot and grumpy and tired... We just wanted to go rest, but that was near impossible! There is just too much to do in Disney World, and not enough time for breaks.

We compromised by going to see the It's Tough to be a Bug show and cooling off a bit, then going back to the Treehouse for a few hours of cooling off. Seriously, these breaks are MUCH needed after being in the heat for several hours!

When we were all rested and rejuvenated, we went to the Magic Kingdom. Ean, Lacie, Eric, and I were planning on riding the bus to the Magic Kingdom so the boys could experience the Disney World busses. However, things got crazy and confusing and mixed up, so we got off at Epcot and rode the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. When we got there, Mommy, Daddy, and Allie were at the new Starbucks on Main Street, so we got ourselves something tasty, too! We got to the park kinda late, and Ean and I were wanting to go to Epcot to see the Illuminations show. We rode Pirates of the Carribbean with everyone, then took the monorail over to Epcot.

Beautiful shot of Cinderella's Castle.

We got to Epcot, rode Spaceship Earth, and then immediately headed over to the UK Pavilion where we got us some DELICIOUS fish and chips from Yorkshire Fish and Chips. We spent some time looking around the English shops (my favorite!!) before walking around finding a seat for the show. We settled on a place in Germany (after looking around the German shops for a few minutes). We shared a chocolate caramel cookie from Karamel Küche which was absolutely delicious, and watched Illuminations. It was so great to just relax away from everybody!

Me and Ean in Germany.

Our delicious cookie.

Waiting for Illumiinations!

Today was super amazing, packed with LOTS of attractions and some AMAZING food.
